Definitions
The following terms with their respective definitions are used in this standard:
3.1 product mass measurement technique (MT): A combination of operations and rules, which, when implemented, ensure attainment of results of product mass measurements with the established error (uncertainty).
3.2 product mass measurement error: Generic error for all product mass measurement results in case of strict compliance with the MT requirements.
3.3 capacity measure: a means for measuring the product volume that has an examination certificate and an approved calibration table.
3.4 full capacity measure: a means of measuring the product volume that has an examination certificate and is equipped with a filling level indicator (tank-cars, tank trailer, tank semitrailers).
3.5 direct dynamic measurement technique aimed at measuring the product mass: A technique that is based upon product mass measurements with the application of weight gauges in pipelines.
3.6 direct static measurement technique aimed at measuring the product mass: A technique that is based upon direct measurements of the product mass via static weighing or weighing in rail tank cars or tank-cars, as well as in trains during motion).
3.7 indirect dynamic measurement technique aimed at measuring the product mass: A technique based upon measurements of the product density and volume in pipelines.
